Privacy Policy

How we handle data for Unfumbled — including on-device storage and limited server processing.

1. Overview

Cena Labs is committed to your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and what choices you have.

These policies apply to Unfumbled and other applications and websites offered by Cena Labs (the "Services"). Cena Labs is operated by an individual based in the United States.

An account is required to access certain features of Unfumbled. By using the Services, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

2. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly:

  • Account information -- email address and password when you register
  • Conversation inputs -- text threads and screenshots you submit for analysis
  • Support inquiries -- messages you send to our support team
  • Subscription information -- your subscription tier and status, managed via RevenueCat

We also collect information automatically:

  • Device type, operating system version, and app version
  • General usage data (screens visited, features used, session duration)
  • Crash reports and diagnostic data to improve app stability
  • Approximate IP address for security and abuse prevention

3. Conversation Inputs and Local Storage

When you paste a conversation or upload a screenshot, that content is processed through our AI pipeline (OpenAI) to generate analysis and reply suggestions. This processing is transient -- we use your input to produce results and do not permanently store raw conversation content on our servers.

Analyses you choose to save are stored:

  • Locally on your device by default
  • In your Supabase-backed cloud account if you are signed in and cloud sync is enabled

We do not read, review, or use your saved conversation analyses for any purpose other than returning them to you when you access your saved results.

4. How We Use Information

We use information we collect to:

  • Provide, operate, and improve the Services
  • Process conversation inputs and generate AI analysis through OpenAI
  • Authenticate your identity and manage your account via Supabase
  • Manage subscriptions and billing through RevenueCat
  • Diagnose errors, prevent abuse, and ensure service security
  • Respond to support requests and communicate with you about the Services
  • Analyze aggregate, de-identified usage patterns to improve product features

We do not use your conversation inputs to train AI models or to build advertising profiles.

5. Third-Party Services and Subprocessors

Unfumbled relies on the following third-party providers to function. Each receives only the data necessary for their specific role:

  • Supabase -- authentication, user account storage, and optional cloud sync for saved analyses. Hosted on AWS. Data processing agreement in place.
  • OpenAI -- AI analysis and reply generation. Conversation inputs are sent to OpenAI's API when you request an analysis. OpenAI's data use is governed by their API usage policies, which do not permit training on API inputs by default.
  • RevenueCat -- subscription status tracking and entitlement management. Receives your app store receipt and subscription tier.
  • Apple App Store -- app distribution, payment processing for subscriptions, and device-level crash reporting for the iOS app.

We do not sell your data to third parties. We do not share personal information with advertisers.

6. Data Retention

We retain your data only as long as necessary to provide the Services and comply with legal obligations:

  • Account information -- retained until you delete your account
  • Conversation analyses saved to cloud -- retained until you delete them or close your account
  • Support correspondence -- retained for up to 2 years
  • Usage logs and diagnostics -- retained for up to 12 months in aggregate, de-identified form

You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by emailing support@cenalabs.com. We will process deletion requests within 30 days.

7. Security

We implement industry-standard safeguards to protect your information, including:

  • TLS encryption for all data in transit
  • Supabase row-level security policies to restrict database access
  • Hashed and salted password storage
  • Access controls limiting who within Cena Labs can access production systems

No method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security, but we take reasonable and appropriate measures to protect your data.

8. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have certain rights regarding your personal information:

  • Access -- request a copy of the personal information we hold about you
  • Correction -- request correction of inaccurate information
  • Deletion -- request deletion of your account and associated data
  • Portability -- request an export of your data in a machine-readable format
  • Withdrawal of consent -- stop using the Services and request account deletion at any time

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at support@cenalabs.com. We will respond within 30 days. We may ask you to verify your identity before processing sensitive requests.

9. Children's Privacy

Unfumbled is rated 16+ and is not intended for children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe someone under 16 has provided us with personal information, please contact us at support@cenalabs.com and we will promptly delete that information.

10. International Users

Cena Labs is operated in the United States. If you are located outside the United States, please be aware that your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States or other countries where our service providers operate. By using the Services, you consent to such transfers.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy at any time. When we make changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. For significant changes, we may also provide additional notice within the app.

Your continued use of the Services after any update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
